Today’s edition of “Jordyn Talks about an Episode,” we (meaning “I”) am going to be talking about JLU episode: The Balance. I really don’t have much else for an introduction besides that. So, tally ho!
An examination of the repetitiveness of super herodom:
(Also an examination of crazy rope shit.)
To write these commentaries, I sit down in front of my television and watch the episode with a notepad in hand. I scribble down notes and ideas that I later type up into actual complete thoughts. In the “Behind The Scenes” feature, I will share with you a piece of my notes. We’ll see how things go here. I’m trying a lot of new stuff with this.
Now, the first edition of Behind the Scenes:
It’s time for some Superman, because I fucking love Superman. Aside from the scorn Static recieves, Superman seems to be the most tossed aside DCAU show, and it really pains me because there is so much good stuff there.
I decided to watch A Little Piece of Home, as it is an early episode and as a special feature, you can watch it with a pop up trivia track!
From the latest issue of JLU, which was totally great and featured our man, The Question.
Ya know, I think I bought my Batman Beyond Vol 2 DVD set way too close to Canada or something because I always have to turn off the goddamn French subtitles, what the hell.
Today we’re going to examine the episode, “Where’s Terry?” But never fear, through this helpful guide, I will ensure that we always know exactly where Terry is.
Two episodes in one review!? Can it be done!? Who cares?
Oh the Riddler. He shall riddle you, heartily. The two episodes in this special “twofer” are If You’re So Smart, Why Aren’t You Rich? and What is Reality? Both are in the second volume of Batman DVDs. So, I dunno, something.
I watched Hand of Fate.
No not that hand.
His hand.
Superman finds himself up against some goddamn magic and only Doctor Fate can help. I love Fate. He is so awesome.
Beware the Creeper
By request(!) I sat down and watched Beware the Creeper. Or Beware the Yellow-Skinned Wacky Man!
